NAVY

NAVY: 3

PIRATES: 0

GO NAVY
I was fortunate to befriend a former Navy SEAL a few years ago. He told me about the job and I don't envy them a bit. Lots of hard work and little personal recognition. The pay is lousy compared to what you do for it. These guys are smart too, high IQs. If they get no orders after a situation change they know what to do without hesitation. We must honor these guys more than we do, they are among the best of America's youth.

Easter Sunday 1993

Front; Joe, Me, Barb, Sherry. Back: Bob, Stephy.

I am fortunate God blessed me with Barbara. My wonderful wife prayed for me for years, that I would come to Faith. Barb had many others praying for me too.

On Easter Sunday 1993 after hearing a good sermon I got up out of the pew and walked toward Jesus Christ. I don't remember the preacher's name and he was old and retired and a guest-preacher that day.

I could tell that my response to the invitation was probably the high-point of his year.

When I got home I and asked my brother snap this photo of me and my family...A New Day!

In the Quality field we call it "5S".
Originally adopted in Japan by companies like Toyota, Honda, and Nissan, it is "Seiri, Seiton, Seison, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke" or translated- Sort, Simplify, Sweep/Scrub/Shine, Sustain, Sanitize/Standardize, and Sustain. "6S" adds Safety.
Henry Ford used it in the early 20th century in his auto plants. The Japanese took it seriously but Americans did not. People perceive that Japan makes better cars. I will post an in-depth piece about 5S in the future. It can be applied anywhere for anything.
